We are many adult women today who suffered sexual harassment in school environments while we were minors. The MeToo Schools movement aims to ensure that no girl suffers sexual harassment in any school. To move towards this goal, we contribute to the following tasks:

  • Breaking the silence by sharing what we have endured and what those who supported us have also suffered.
  • Clarifying the actions that helped us free ourselves from such harassment.
  • Collaborating on and spreading research that provides scientific evidence of social impact, specifically the successful actions that prevent and address the issue.
  • Helping ensure that media, social networks, and policies are based on evidence rather than misinformation.

In carrying out these tasks, we acknowledge the many other people, organizations, and groups working against all forms of harassment involving minors. For this reason, we focus on a very specific field—one we can address most effectively and feel is the most neglected. We limit ourselves to adult survivors of sexual harassment as minors in school settings, which we define as not only physical spaces but also online environments within the educational community.
